Welcome back to part 2 of how to heal your skin after a micro needling treatment.

No idea what I’m talking about? Then first read about my facial and what to use the first 3 days after micro needling. Don’t feel like getting caught up? I hear you - the products below are just as good for everyday moisture issues.

Two days after my PRP with micro needling, my face is still artificially bruised but typically that’s the time it begins to peel. How much depends on a number of factors, including whether I drank enough water and hydrated my skin enough.

It’s tempting to peel flaking skin, but you need to let it fall off on its own.

The longer the skin is attached, the more it has a chance to protect the regrowth happening below. I will add in masks to give my skin an added boost of moisture it very much needs.

At this stage, I still use the products mentioned in phase 1 - I will only remove the Eminence Calm Skin serum if I have no more bruising. Please note, I am not a doctor or aesthetician. These are just the products I personally used after the treatment.

Here are the products I add to my routine during this healing time. For information about the other products listed below, check out this post:

Step 1: Face Wash - La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser

Step 2: Serums - Skinceuticals Hydrating B5 Gel & CNP Laboratory Propolis Energy Ampule

Step 3: Oil - Nyakio Maracuja & Yangu Soothing Oil is ultra light weight, has a slight green tint which color-corrects any redness left over, has never clogged my pores, and is made with ethically & sustainably sourced natural ingredients. Booya!

Step 4: Lotion - Tatcha Water Bomb

Step 5: Eye Cream - After the 1st night, I re-introduce my eye cream, Clinique's All About Eyes Rich, it is my holy grail eye cream.

Step 6:

Daytime SPF - Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense

Before Bed Face Mask: After my dabble with sheet masks, I tried this one out last night and loved it! I’m a bit dryer after my PRP this time around, so the TonyMoly Pureness 100 was absolutely perfect right before bed.

or

Sleeping Face Mask - I’m a huge fan of multitasking, so anything I can leave on overnight is always a winner for me. SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Masque lets me do just that - I will apply it 10 minutes before bed then let it work while I sleep.

and

Sleeping Lip Mask: Laneige makes the best Lip Sleeping Mask. When I use it at night, I wake up with supple lips that are ready for lipstick. I have yet to meet another that compares, but I'm always searching for good dupes!

So, these are the new additions to my routine on Day 3 after a PRP facial and after 4 treatments, they haven’t failed me yet!
